These are really good but also very pricey as compared to A700X/A900X ( which are it's equivalent for close back ) and AD700X/AD900X ( open back ).
I'd actually go for just the headphones ( not gaming headsets ) and then buy aftermarket Sony or V-Moda mics because you'll definitely save heaps.
Very very late game reviewer/writer deserves best 15 seconds of fame for not really being a very very good game writer.
It's not really all about looks but more about the type of fetish each individual is trying to find.. Certain types dig one mod but could be disliked by others.
Maybe it's the law that needs to be looked into., probably there is something there that they have seen and maybe manipulate to work in their favour to charge customers' twice in taxes.
You have to remember these companies have lawyers' that can look into these things and tell/lead them into this thinking.
This is still all just fantasy.
What I'd like to see for ( PS5, next-gen XBox and even Nintendo ) is for their control pads to progress into being more modular/has the option to be re-configured physically besides within the parameters ( on the menu option ) of whatever game you buy.. sort of like the XBox Elite but more.
There's always lay-away ( lay-buy to some )..
I do see Oculus won't have any issues as far as being compatible with any future PC gear is concerned.
PSVR or Morpheus I do hope ( fingers crossed - tightly ) that it would still be able to work with PS5 console and beyond.
I want to hear Sony say that the PSVR or "Morpheus" will be future-proofed for the PS5 at least.. or even further if possible to make the pricing fair to gamers'
Remember their gaming headsets.. it only works/updates up to a certain timeline.
And on another note although not Sony branded but the Logitech G25/G27 wheel can only be updated up to a certain timeline as well unlike with PC were these would still work.
Would be great to see this be available on PS4/XBox ONE sometime in the near future.

Am liking Korea's look on the physical design on both male/female and monster characters to your usual Japanese style. Even the costumes and backdrops are impressive.
Really appealing even if you over-emphasize/tweak on the body form with the customization option.
NASA/flight and driving simulators, medical/surgeries, engineering/design fields I believe would benefit a lot with VR-tech.
And in a way they owe it to the gaming industry that this tech came about.

Inception would be a great VR game because you basically take control of the entire environment around you with lots of consequence along the way.
Liking very much the idea of modular aspect and inter-changeable face plates ( think this could be the best way/option for future application with the Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft control pads - the XBox One Elite is already doing this in a way ), but do worry TreeTech's control pads isn't durable enough.
3D-TV/or watching 3D movies in the cinemas/3D Blu Ray in your homes is a totally different experience and concept as Virtual Reality.
People still don't get that, but keeps on comparing the two.
Think Sony, Samsung, Oculus and others building VR-tech/head gear really need to properly advertise this tech.
For that reason alone I believe people think it is a gimmick and same reason these skeptics are stupid ignoramus'.
Don't believe any gaming headset if it says 7.1 on the box, it's total horse manure.
And the 3D-wing design on the Audio Technica are no gimmick., they work because they feel airily light when you wear them.
Have to add the closed-back ATH-AG1X can be angled more straight ( because it has a yoke so the wearer has that option to angle the earcup up to a certain degree unlike the open back which does not ).

Not a very good business sense since *all TV programs and nearly *95% of film is only outputting at *1080p. Also you can count the number of *mastered in 4K Blu Ray disc available on sale.

I think it will also depend on the retail outlets how much the PSVR will be priced., can see a lot of them doing special offer/bundle deals with any Sony game or even any Sony product/s like Super HD or 4K screens or even Sony laptops/mobile phones to entice customers'.
